3rd winter of plowing, and still going strong. Tennessee winter's are cold, but usually not a lot of snow. Still though 8"-12" can be a problem on our steep and long driveway. I do the neighbors drives also. So far not a single clutch, overheating, or electrical issue. I even drag the plow up hills in reverse. It do the kinds of stuff that should make the clutches scream, but not this machine. Very happy. Love my machine.
On a side note the Tusk Terribites worked just fine with factory air pressures. The only time they spun was on a sharp slow off camber/incline start up. Pleased with them as well.

That's what I wanted to hear. I think I would really like the 1000 but my only hesitation was plowing snow with it. I'm glad it is holding up great for you.

Just finished pushing 8 - 10 inches around in my driveway and three neighbors.
Love my P-1000!

A bit off topic...but
Crazy winter here in Utah. It's gonna be 50*f here today (nights are cold though, 15*f) and not a speck of snow expected through the end of the year. Latest snow in 40 years according to the NWS. Utah, as you know, is known for amazing snow...but there 'aint none...

I just plowed 9”-11.5” (because of snow drifts) deep snow on my long driveway with my stock p1k-5 and its a beast, it didnt slow down a bit. No clutch issues and barely any wheel spin, im extremely impressed with the machine and have no regrets about buying it over the Pioneer 700.

Heres a quick video of the first pass,

You need to install a heavy rubber piece across the top of the blade to keep the snow from overflowing back on you. I put about a 6" or 7" strip of something like the material used on heavy duty rubber work mats across mine, and it works just fine. It makes the snow roll back in front of the blade. The rubber extends out over the top of, and in front of, the blade if you know what I mean. I use a strip of metal over the rubber to keep the bolts from pulling thru the rubber, and I leave it on all the time. Nothing to wear or maintain and it works great in deeper snow. The rubber must be somewhat substantial.
