With a 5 pin rocker switch... With you have one LED on with keyed on power... And another LED on with the activation of the switch?

Yes. Usually.
The bottom light is on when the switch has power.
Top light is on when the switch/item is ON.

I'm just making sure I need a 5 pin and a 3 pin won't work.

I'm from old school and SPST and SPDT and SPDT switches and relays.

So.
true Carling switches are better. (Ex. OTRATTW)
They are directly wired with resistors, wires and such (no circuit board) They are not affected as much by the elements like moisture.
Amazon specials. (standard switches) have a circuit board inside. Any moisture will cause them to fail.
People have had luck with the amazon specials. Others have not.
Haven't really heard any stories about OTRATTW switch failing.

I called otrattw the OTR switch guys.

I will order on Monday.

Two choices. Each switch has a logo like Light Bar and a symbol and an LED.

1-when the key is on you can have the LED come on and when energized, the symbol/logo lights up.
Or
2- you can turn on the key and the symbol/logo comes on and when energized the LED comes on.

He said he believes most sxs owners preferred the first.

But, I think I'd rather see what the switch is controlling lit up and the other LED to come on letting me know the accessory should be working.

Kool. They have always been a good help for me.

#1 is called Lower Independent.
#2 is called Upper Independent.
