Question mainly, have a pioneer 500 and when driving anyplace that is dry, like trails or dirt roads, the dust sucked into the cab is ridiculous. Hard to even breath, is this just normal for pioneers?
i have installed top, windshield, mud flaps and nothing helps.
have to hold door open to over pressure cab to keep dust out.
anyone else have this problem?

The windshield is actually the cause. It creates negative pressure and suck the dust in from the rear if your windshield tilts or opens in some way that helps. From what I understand the best cure is the rear plastic windows.

I have installed full top with doors, still sucks dust in. I’ll open the bottom of the windshield and see how that works. I know if I open door six inches and hold it to scope in air it stops the dust. Put heater in but doesn’t blown hard enough to pressurize the cab.

This is what you need to keep the dust out.

Tried the back window, no joy. Installed full top with doors and still dust boils up inside from mainly behind the seats. Only way I’ve stopped it is open doors 6 inches and drive over 20 mph. I’ll try opening the bottom half of windshield when dusty trail/road

Dust is germane to sxs riding, unfortunately. See the Hondasxs store for some dust protective wear....👍😊

Anyone ever put their 500 pioneer on tracks? They work in 4-5 foot wet or dry snow?

I’ve seen several here with tracks on their P5’s. But are you talking about putting tracks around the tires, looking like a dozer?

mattracks or similarly, replace wheels for tracks. Have a cabin in the mountains and during the winter there’s 4-5 foot of snow on the ground. Rather ride inside a sxs than on a snowmachine.

The last step would be a Trigger Shield from @trigger that would help stop dust coming in from under the seat.

Thanks, I’ll check them out...already opened the link you attached. Just need to read up and figure out if they will really handle deep snow.

yep, sure do.. as soon as the snow melts and the trails open I take off the doors, windshield and back panel and put on the Bimini top and 1/2 windshield for summer, this should solve your problem
