I recently purchased a new 700-2. Really am enjoying the ride. I also purchased a nice Big Tex 6.5 x 12 heavy duty trailer to haul it on. Question, How are you guys strapping down the Pioneer when in tow. I mounted two 11K d'rings to the trailer. One right under the front bumper and another right under the ball mount. I then use ratchet straps to firmly tighten down the UTV. Will it hurt while in tow the suspension being compressed by strapping down the unit. I hate ratchet straps, and am searching for a better way of securing down the UTV while in tow on the trailer. Ideas ??.......................RR

compressing the suspension is pretty standard. I have found that once in a while I hit a bump big enough to move the suspension furthered than I had it pulled down. when I open the trailer I find it unhooked. that being said I would use a safety chain / cable just incase. ie front winch works.
I have been looking at tire straps to hold the wheels to the trailer.

Make sure your straps have snap hooks so that if the suspension compresses, the hooks can't come loose. Also the use of 4 would be recommended.

Lastly, I would be careful about pulling straight down on the hitch and you might exceed the load rating.

Just because I was there tonight. Harbor freight has the wheel straps with ratchets for 19.99 each and they have a 25 percent off coupon deal until Sunday.

I wanted to make sure the straps I used had safety clips on the hooks to keep the straps connected. My trailer didn't have anything to clip the straps to so I added so 1/2" rebar to it to clip into. I've taken it down some pretty rough roads while loaded up on the trailer with no problems.

I x strap to the control arms. I use this so the suspension can still move and the vehicle is held from going forward / aft. You can kind of see what I mean here. D6fe52789cd59e39a72c5ad8cf572f5a
I also have some straps I bought a while back that are basically seat belts. If the vehicle bounces the strap automatically tightens. I can get the information on them if you would like. They are fairly expensive but when towing my $40,000 Harley inside an enclosed trailer I didn't want to take a chance of it falling.
