Looking at plow options and one can now get 66 or 72 inch blades. The consensus seems to be that the little Pioneer can push a 66 fine. Has anyone tried the 72 inch blade though, and if so thoughts?

When I had plowed 7“ of wet snow with a 66” plow, the p520 did struggle with it.
I have along driveway, should not of started in the middle and worked to the side.
Needed to plow like I did with my ATV. Start at the side for 2 passes and then plow the center out to the side.

I haven't pushed snow with a Pioneer, but many, many, hours logged on a tractor/plow and would add the following for consideration: 1) The Pioneer is relatively small and depending on what kind of snow you generally get (wet vs. fluff) then that would be a factor in plow size and personally think the 66" would a great size; b) I would consider sitting some sand bags on the rear rack for traction and help offset the load created on the front suspension and c) If pushing on a concrete surface, then consider putting a rubber squeegee on the plow to avoid scratches.

I thank if i had a 500 i would go with the 66".I have a 1000 with a 72" and angled with wet snow it tends to try to push the bike off the intended path front end to light.Fluffy snow it would not be a problem i dont think.

Thank you guys, looks like 66 is the sweet spot!
I will absolutely agree on the 66" blade. I've had a 66" KFI Open Country for about 7 years. I've used it on a Kawi Teryx4 and my current P1K5. At 66", the blade covers the width of the vehicle and can push a whole lotta snow in front, even at an angle. I plowed 8" today and it was great.

A 72" blade will cover your vehicle tracks at a 45 degree angle, but it will also get pushed to the side in deep snow. I personally don't see much benefit in jumping to 72" unless you're trying to clear pavement wheel-to-wheel on one shallow snow pass.
