Well hell!!! Why would Honda provide me an easy approach to accessories on my 500, and not the 1000, which is almost certainly going to have more accessories?

If you don't use your cigarette lighter port, i'm sure with a little digging I can find the mating plug for it and create a harness for you. I may even be able to create a piggy back.

Well, I’m just getting started, but I’ll have a sound bar, light bar, cube lights, winch, USB’s, rock lights, whips, etc., and not all of which I need on keyed power. I’ve got no problem wiring it all conventionally, it’s just that the sub harnesses were so nice, handy and convenient on the 500 and 700.

I don’t use it. I was just hoping that there was a plug and play sub harness for the 1000, like there is for the 500 and 700.

It can be sealed with a tube of 3m potting compound.

For a little bit more can get a variety of choice that are configurable and fully sealed. I like my Cooper Bussmann box. Easy to assemble and waterproof.

Awesome! Tapping the cigarette lighter would provide keyed power for backlighting the switches is presumably the idea???
