It is a bit of an expense. It might be easier or cheaper in the long run to find a fuse panel that is already wired up.

There is a Honda subharness that just plugs into the back of the cigrette lighter.

Sharp, any idea whether or not this Honda subharness can be obtained individually and separately from buying the entire winch package??

They are not a replacement for shrink tube. What they do is seal the connection at the back of that particular fuse block. It is what helps connections become weatherproof.
In this image, you can see the seals crimped onto the wire. The below is a "weatherpack" 2 wire connection. If you do not use the seals, the connection is compromised.

Surely they will sell just the harness. May have to contact the dealer. It's a simple plug and play harness. I'll try to look around when I get back from drinking lunch margaritas .

I ordered a bunch of different options yesterday. Hopefully everything is delivered Friday. I have to pull the front tires to get my fat assets far enough into the machine to remove the plug and compare what I bought.

For a little bit more can get a variety of choice that are configurable and fully sealed. I like my Cooper Bussmann box. Easy to assemble and waterproof.
