Here's the question had you all adjusted your Valves on your Pioneer. After you've reached the 20 hr mark have you all adjusted the Valves on the engine. Was it worth doing or would you leave it for a later date.Just curious to see what most have done.

I performed the valve check/adjustment yesterday. The engine had roughly 25 hours on it. I found that the exhaust side was perfect but the intake valves were .012 when the the spec calls for .006. After the adjustment it starts quicker and idles quieter.

I just did my yesterday, my intakes were at .008 and the exhaust were at .015, they were a little loose. I checked them mainly for piece of mind, now I know they are all set for a while.

At my first service, mine were loose as well. Definitely quietens it down since the valve mechanism is RIGHT there. Mine ran much better afterward.

Preformed my adjustment yesterday. The exhaust's were in spec at 12 thou and the intakes were about 9 thou. I did adjust them back to factory specs since I was there. Our "Riggo" has about 625 miles on it, so I decided I would check them out at the second oil change. Looking at them, I'm sure they could of went a little longer, but I guess the piece of mind is worth its wait in "fun".

Good to know. Valve adjustment is rapidly climbing up my to do list. I've waited WAY to long. I always thought it was something that didn't really need to be done but more and more guys are saying it does so I think I better do it.

So finally at about 2800 miles, I adjusted my valves. They needed it too! Should have done it awhile ago. The engine runs smoother now, even felt like better acceleration especially from 30-40 mph where it needs it most!

It's so easy, it should be done regardless. Of coarse, I say that for the P700 but the P1000 is a different story.

Yeah it really wasn't bad, and this was my first time doing it on anything. Hardest part was reading the Top dead center mark on the flywheel through that inspection hole!
