I think this is a good poll, although not scientific. I wonder how many of the cover 6000 members here have P1Ks. @Hondasxs... do you have those stats?

1072 members have their ownership marked as owning a 1000.

275 have a 1000-3 marked
805 have a 1000-5 marked.

Now, keep in mind, I only added that option last year sometime.

Now to see how many actually have clutch issues... if they even check in that much. Thanks @Hondssxs, I've been wondering about these numbers for a while.

There's a percentage that join and never come back. And there are a few who are quite about their clutch issues so it can be really jaded either way

Are there really some that hide the fact that the clutches die? I could prob understand if you're a Honda salesman but my loyalty doesn't run that deep. I mean, I buy Honda generators, pressure washer, mower, etc but I'm not going to protect Honda and slow any improvements that need to be made.

We should all shout it out loud if there's a problem so it can be fixed.

If anyone should have problems it should be you. Big tires, rocks, ect. But you haven't. ... 90% are no problems.

Yes a couple. I'm pretty open and upfront but I was quite myself on the issue. It's not exactly something you're proud of when you're a Honda loyalist in a Honda forum.

I agree! Me too. Bought it to beat it

Lmao... I didn't buy it to beat it, but I did buy it to do what I want to do and get where I want to be. Sometimes that takes putting it through some serious work.

But whatever percentage is having problems under 500 miles is too much. I'll say it till I die. It's a Honda and regardless of anything this is the first one I've EVER seen problems with. My dirt bike has 15000 miles on its wet clutches so far and I bought new in 05. Some people are afraid to let others drive it and we're talking about under a year old machine here.
