It looks like it has been a garage queen ridden occasionally on Sunday afternoons.

After a 30 year absence from motorcycles I bought a beautiful, like-new ST1300 in the summer of 2010. it was a 2008 (I think) with 2200 miles on the odometer. Incredibly fast machines. I discovered I wasn't too old for motorcycle touring and traded it for a new 2010 Goldwing in January 2011.

I love Goldwings. The yellow one was a 2010 purchased new in January of 2011 from Shawnee PS in OK. I rode it 93,xxx.

The blue one was a 2014 purchased new in October 2014 from Russellville PS in AR. I was only able to put 27,xxx miles on it before I got too damned old and decided to quit before I died on it.

If I wasn't too old I would be riding and touring on a new Goldwing with DCT (and throwing rocks @ a Pioneer!)

I'm surprised by the comments about heel and toe shifters. I had wide flip-up floorboards and heel and toe shifter on both of my Goldwing and never experienced any problems. The yellow 2010 was still covered by an official Honda extended warranty good for several more years when I sold it.

I can understand how the torque and strain on the shifter arm would be increased by the heel and toe shifter but I didn't abuse my Goldwings - other than running up through the gears once in awhile..

It was more of a scare I think. One guy had the pivot shaft work loose, let the seal weep and Honda said no on warranty repair. But hey, it's the internet. Only problems I've had is getting out on mine enough and not getting into trouble, when I do. Did I say it's a very fast couch, even pulling a trailer I built. We call it the road sofa..
Cheers

I agree. Goldwings are extremely comfortable and surprisingly fast. They handle well and have impressive brakes also. Honda never acknowledged a change but the '14 built in Japan was noticeably faster than the '10 built in Marysville, OH.

The '14 also had more of a snarl to the exhaust note when accelerating hard up through the gears and shifting at high rpm.

I love the Honda ST's. In fact, the ST1100 was the first serious touring bike I considered buying. But I didn't actually get around to it until 2007, at which time I purchased a new ST1300. I put 32,000 miles on that bike in the first two years. Loved the V4. Here's a picture, taken somewhere in the middle of Arizona in 2010.
