P1000 Another Push Back...

I have had the P1000 Deluxe in Camo ordered since Aug. Delivery date had been mid Nov.
A few weeks ago, it went back to the 26th, then the 30th.....

Now it's Dec. 30.

At this rate, I'm not certain I'll even have it for this hunting season...which is the sole reason I bought it.

My red one will be camo next weekend. I wanted one for hunting season also. I settled for what was in stock and have ordered a roll of camo wrap and am wrapping it next weekend. All for less than Honda wanted to upgrade to camo.

I'm in the same boat as you , I also put my deposit down in August for a metallic grey P5D. Then my ship date went from November 10th to January 19th. Which means I won't get mine until the last day or so of Bow season.

I was depending on the equity value of my old 700 to partially pay for the new 1000. Based my advertisement date to sell on what I was being told regarding the delivery in mid Nov.
Sold my 700 rather quick, now I wish I hadn't sold it, at least I'd have a way to get around at the deer camp. Guess I have to pull the old Rubicon out of retirement and freeze my gonaads off in the meantime.

I am still waiting too! I have had one ordered since late August. I was told I would have it by thanksgiving. No such luck! Very disappointed in Honda and their production plan.

Sounds like my story too Seargent - I was told mine would be here by Thanksgiving too but I will be lucky if mine shows up before February

Yep I've had a down payment since August on camo deluxe. Looks like I'm gonna miss most of hunting season with it. I'm sick of them pushing it back.

TOOLOUD, I have not been given an alternate date yet, so that little disapointment is yet to come. I think this is an awesome machine and for me they corrected all the things I found lacking in a 700. That was apparent the first time I drove a 1000-5 but it sure looks to me like they could have had production of the various colors ready to meet projected demand. I know Honda is all about RED and I have owned a bunch from dirt bikes to 3 and 4 wheelers etc... the camo had to be expected to be a best seller in my opinion. Maybe I am off on this but I doubt it. Just a little Friday morning rant while on duty. Bottom line is I hate to wait, I would rather be riding!!

Darn I am sorry to hear about the pushbacks. I just laid down a deposit for mine on Wednesday. Was told it would ship 12/14. I was guessing Christmas it would be here. Sould I be getting worried?

I have had my money down for several months and I would still forfeit it for the first camo I could get my hands on!! Worried is probably not the word, aggravated comes to mind though, good luck maybe they will surprise us all.

Oh s--t, I dont need to here this! We are planning to leave the northeast for the southwest right after new years. I traded my Teryx on the P1k , so now I'm without a machine. I ordered red, because that is what his next machine is. I grabbed it while it was still available. Hopefully they are still shipping red ones on schedule. Jack

i am ordering my wrap from mossy oak graphics. very good product from what i can tell . i ordered 4' x 10' sheet for 204.00. hope it is enough. go online and watch video of the product. if i ever wanted to go back to red i can according to video.not to mention it will protect my plastics from fade and scratches.

Reds have been available at my dealership for some time now. My deposit is on their first Camo Deluxe.
I know that it's not the dealership's fault, but it certainly aggravates me that Honda is not holding to their original delivery dates.
Sure hope that the SxS performs better than Honda's scheduling!

Had the 1st deposit at my dealership since July for a P1K-5 white deluxe. Date has moved several times, as of last week the ship date is 12/14, dealer swears it's real as he has the VIN # with it. Fingers crossed, I'll believe it when I see it. Red deluxe is sitting on the showroom floor, no takers for over three weeks....
