Have you tried hitting the “reply” button in the bottom corner of a post? (If you happen to be using Tapatalk…go to your web browser instead and your experience will be much improved)

🤦🏻‍♂️Boomers!

Thanks. Will that allow me to copy and reply later to a post written earlier?

I'm older than the boomer generation. According to what I've read on the web the boomer generation was born between 1946 and 1964. I was born in 1942. That makes me a "pre-boomer".

Yes you can hit reply on old posts. People dig up posts from 5+ years ago surprisingly often.

Smitty, if you're offended by my lack of appreciation for your patriotic service to our country you could look up your nearest VFW Post or other military service club. Visit the guys who served and tell them about your service.

They'll give you the recognition you deserve.
I do it in public every where, almost every day anytime I see a military emblem on a ball cap, that is thank them for their service. Would be surprised how many Vets are very thankful to me when I get their plumbing repaired since 1974. Whether their home or not , maybe for their Wife or Mother while you were stationed away from home. Who kept the lights burning, gas furnaces, water flowing into homes / businesses, gas at the pumps, groceries in the store, roofs repaired do you want me to go on? it took us all. So think about it and suck it up, if you were in the military you should know what suck it up means.

So @HBarlow are ya done being a condescending prick yet? Inquiring minds want to know.
Okay, I'll set it aside and move on.

I don't react well when someone who appears to have never served tells me I should move to Venezuela.

Isnt thats what we do as Americans, express our Independence? Its a free country for now right? If we didnt there wouldnt be no USA & Constitution and wed be Venezuela! You dont want to be them do you? I mean you can….just move to The Peoples Socialist Republic Of Commiefornia 🤷‍♂️

Remington,

I don't know how to use the strange quote feature of this software so can't copy your post but you claimed what made America what it is was expressing your independence and suggested I move to Venezuela.

Perhaps you're not familiar with the Battle of Lexington and Concord:

It was not armchair patriots talking about their independence but the citizen volunteers who fought the British at Lexington and Concord who fought to defend America.

Okay, I'll set it aside and move on.

I don't react well when someone who appears to have never served tells me I should move to Venezuela.
Well, since he didn’t tell you that you should move there you are incorrect sir. He suggested Commiefornia. You are the only one hung up on Venezuela.

Apparently you have not and still hanging on to the "never served" bit

Never told u to move to Venezuela, u got your dick in the dirt and decided to take it that way.

Sometimes there are folks that can't say what theyve done on a public platform. ;) what part of that dont u understand? Again, I'll extend my invitation and u come up here and we can discuss this over a case of beer in a private setting.
I appreciate YOUR service sir!

You're right. You mentioned Venezuela in the post but suggested I move to "commiefornia."

Not much difference. My wife and I lived in San Diego in the '80s for my last assignment and I retired from the Navy there. A beautiful city but the politics, taxes, corrupt socialist government in Sacramento, and the invasion from the south convinced me I didn't want to live there. We left in 1988. Never looked back. It's much worse now than I predicted it would be back in 1988.

I appreciate your invitation to sit down and talk but it's not necessary. I think it was a poor choice of words but you didn't man it as the insult I perceived. Forget about it.

Perhaps I overreacted.

No worries. We all do that at times. Ive been victim of that a time or two.

BTW, many forget about today. Its Dec 7th Perl Harbor day! We shall never ever forget that. God bless those Boys and the sacrifice they gave that day and beyond.

Pearl Harbor Day. "A day that will live infamy . . ."

I thought of it first thing this morning when I sat down at my computer with a cup of coffee. No mention in
"Pravda-USA" aka the propaganda arm of the socialist party media.

If a dumocrap-socialist hero, a sorry specimen of human debris like a gay child molester or transsexual sicko had died on this date that would have been plastered all over the news.

I would just say that most people who served don't go bragging about or looking for recognition for their service.. I also get the impression most people on here appreciate anybody that has served. The military like most other things in life has its share of assholes
