Ok, Ive refrained from commenting on there trails just so I didnt put someones dick in the dirt lol. Do here it goes…..

We went about 4yrs ago for a week and camped, nice campgrounds. There is some nice sites to see on trail and all, some to travel to tim buck two and was like “this is it?” After riding RRB and some other systems in the US Personally I wasnt all warm and fuzzy and wanting to go back. Just me And my group. One reason was the helmet required on ALL riders regardless of the machines. It was summer time and I sweat my bag off like it was knowbody’s business! Didnt need my bilge fan, didnt make a difference. Now I know what it means to be in a Poo Poo Fire Trap! 🤣 Not really lol. I ware them on snowmobiles all winter long. Thats plenty and necessary. To be clear, U might like them, just not for me! Its on my been there done that list tho..

I love HMT. My wife and I have been there 2 times so far and hopefully can get back there this year. It's got hundreds of miles of trails on multiple trail systems and most of the trails are fairly tame which is nice when it's just us riding. Also the terrain at each trail systems is quite different so each day is unique.

I would like to ride their trails but the Helmet and the no riding at night rules kinda suck in my opinion. I see the need for helmets in certain situations but shouldn't be mandate for everyone all the time. If I were closer maybe it wouldn't be as big an issue but for the same 14hr drive it takes me I'd much rather go up to north east TN.

My 2 cents...

Remington, are you a guy who also refuses to use a seatbelt?
Negative! Always do on trail. Putsing through my property or just going 20-50 feet, Im not pitting one on. I dont ware one on a sled cuz there isnt one on sleds 🤣 you also dont have ROPS on sleds and could easily be catapulted out of your sled so a helmet is a must there.

In the case of the Hatfield & McCoy Trails, the state of WV owns and operates the trails so if someone is severely injured a sleazy ambulance chaser will be suing the state (read the taxpayers) for millions.

That sounds great until someone expressing his independence is seriously injured and taxpayers are stuck paying hundreds of thousands of dollars of his medical bills.
Most of us have insurance…because we work and are constructive members of society.

Would that be the same if someone was driving on WV roadways?

BS posted here is cheap. Did you serve your country in uniform or just write about your independence?
Then it probably doesn’t apply to the trails either.
"Probably" is a mushy word of little value.

Then I’d say assumption of the risk applies in regards to the trails…and a “sleazy” lawyer wouldn’t have much of a case.

You call talking/writing about this country's independence as an American BS? Dosnt matter if they served or not, shouldn't make any difference Its who we are and founded on and you should be proud that you are! But are you?
Then question his or there service? You have quite the balls my friend.

True, but the state has hundreds of bureaucrats and lawyers on the payroll whose job it is to create rules to protect against frivolous lawsuits.

The helmet rule makes perfect sense for offroad bikes, four wheelers, and is reasonable for open UTV/ATVs with questionable rollover protection.
