well I've come to the conclusion its the isolator,I hooked a seperate battery to it and same reading of 12.5 volts,I know both used to be 14.4.I will get a new isolater and try that,
I’ve read this thread with great interest and tried to follow the testing and results.
I went to the Trueam website and they have a troubleshooting testing guide that I tried to include in my reply here. (hope it worked). I think that you’ve tried all the steps required to conclude a bad isolator but maybe double check the procedure. Just trying to help.

Kool. Glad it fixed it.
I'm still pondering as to why it would pass voltage but not be able to maintain it.
IDK... Questions we will never know.
Thanks for the follow up.

Hi guys. I'm having the same issue but I already bought a new isolator and it didn't solve the problem. Now I'm at a loss as to where to go to get this bug fixed? My volt meter agrees with my guage and I only have 12.2 v at the battery. When running I check the posts on the isolator and on one side (OEM battery) it shows charging and the other side just shows battery voltage, 12.2. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If it's a True isolator, is the pigtail grounded properly?

I did it all myself and it has worked fine since 2016. Now, only the main battery shows charging. Checking with a volt meter, the stud on the isolator going to the aux battery never shows a charging state, only battery voltage, which is at present 12.2. I put a tender on the aux battery a couple of days ago and it's back to full charge now but when I start the engine the gauge only shows 14.4 on the main battery. Still no charging going on with the aux.

It's possible that the new isolator is bad. Not likely but possible. I've had 2 of them go bad over time.

You have a good ground from the little wire on the isolator ?

I’d run a jumper from that to negative on main battery as it takes a minute to rule that out.

Also - you sure the aux battery is any good ? You have it load tested by chance?

Any spare good batteries around from a garden tractor, etc. to rule that out.

Other than that it’s a simple circuit - just make sure all your ground connections are cleaned, solid and tight
