P500 Battery Replacement?

Any recommendations for a replacement battery for my 2016 500? It does have aftermarket electronic power steering, and added lights.

Below is what I have - is that the factory battery?

Must the replacement be a GYZ16H?

That is an OEM. You don’t have to stick with YUASA but if you got 8 years out of one…why wouldn’t you? IMHO

There are A LOT of threads on batteries here on what to change, what brands and so forth if you want to venture to something else?
But like mentioned, 8 yrs is remarkable! Why go different? 🤔
Like saying, i had 4yrs with good economy with Trump, lets vote for Brandon! How did that turn out? 😂

It may die tomorrow, but I'm still on the original in my 2016. I haven't looked at the price, but when it does go I'll probably go back with the OEM. Hopefully they are still made the same.

Just for my 2-cents: I had to replace the O.E. battery on my 2018 P500 about 2 years ago, like most everyone- I started researching. Come to find out, the Yuasa is actually U.S. owned and the factory is in Pennsylvania. They are the factory motorsport go-to because of their quality. They do not use any recycled lead for making the plates - only virgin lead from a U.S. mine. Therefore, that is what I bought to replace mine.

The Yuasa batteries that are standard equipment on all Honda powersports equipment from Goldwings down are good batteries that last a long time if not abused. you can buy a cheaper battery but I think you'll get what you play for.

My recommendation is buy another Yuasa.

I bought an Odessey battery for my 520. I put one in the Yamaha Grizzy 660 and Grizzly 700. You do need to get a higher amperage battery tender. I've been using Odessey batteries since 2008. No regrets with them. They last longer and are good for winching.
