Anyone using a Bazooka sound bar? Amazon has them on backorder for $310. All the colorful lights I can do without... I need something better than the the little portable bluetooth speakers I have sitting in the cubby hole of my p1000-5, but don't want to spend $500 plus. It has an aux power switch, so it looks like I can run a led cube from it to light up behind the sxs when reversing. I am running out of switches on my panel, so it would be nice to have this little used light switched somewhere else than taking up valuable space on my awesome mystic1219 panel.

I have given the party bar a consideration and you're right you can run a light bar off it. The reason I haven't pulled the trigger was the $399 price tag. But $310 I would do you can also run two of them as well I will see if I can find that deal, Amazon doesn't charge you until it ships I have ordered back order items off amazon with a month lead time and 5 days later it was shipped.

The pros for me the sound isn't bad and I like the lights, hooking 2 up and the pioneer already has the power plug in place off the battery.

The con was the price I felt it was a $300 sound bar.

I agree with the @Average_Joe, Why are these speakers so darn expensive.
$310 is better and it doesn't look too bad. I still can't decided if I will ever use it enough to enjoy it.

Added some product info to your post!
Thanks

I ordered one also... I know it will be better than my current setup. I just hope it is worth the $300. I already ran power up from my Bussman block to an empty space that will HOPEFULLY SOON be a Bazooka. I will post a review when I receive it.

Anyone have any idea on the water rating of this unit? and durability... How it compares to the wet sounds systems? I really like this one with all the lights built in. But my buggy doesn't have a roof so it will no doubt ily get caught out in the rain from time to time...

I attached a screen shot (hopefully it worked) from the manufacturer's website. It looks to be ready for the elements. As to compare it to wetsounds... I have heard lots good reviews on wetsounds bar. One amazon reviewer did say he liked the bazooka better, but I question the authenticity of some of those reviews. Only one thing I am for certain about that I can compare... and that is the price difference! As long as I can hear it while riding, I will be a happy man. If not, it is shipped and sold by Amazon. I have until Jan 31st to return it (thx to extended holiday returns) if I don't like it. Then I will try a wetsounds unit next... No probably a pro armor, then a wetsounds.

The thing is, is that the speakers are marine grade but that says nothing about the housing being waterproof. Also stating the jacks are waterproof separately, make me seem that the whole unit isn't...
I agree with your, reviewer comment too.
I'll be very interested when you guys get them to see some pics and thoughts.

Which would justify the price difference in some ways... But I do like the colored light features. Less stuff to buy and add on... I'll do some more Googleing on it tomorrow

Ryan, it look like you will need to install a roof to use this one. Here is the latest review from Amazon...

I thought about those. I just was unsure about the mounting options. Pete, do you have a pic of it mounted you can post?

there's a few pics in here... The Making Of Pete
its been mounted there for over 1000 miles with no issues.
if you end up going this route, I can get you some more detailed pics of how its mounted. I didn't do anything special. I used the straps that came with it, and wrapped the strap one full pass around the ROPS and then under the speaker.
