I went to lift the bed tonight in my 2016 1000-5 to check the oil and the bed would not release. It will release about an inch then it's like the safety feature for when you have the seats up catches. The weird thing is if you open up the passenger side rear door and slam it it will go up.
I had tape on the catches to help with rattles. Removed all that and it didn't help.
Any ideas? I did a search and couldn't find any thing on it.

Is something stopping your seat backs from going all the way down? Trash, Sand, Leaves, Sticks???
The safety feature are 2 levers in between the seats.
I put a piece of hose on mine, that gave it just the extra I needed.

First time I have heard of this issue! Possibly an adjustment? These may help!

It may be the safety latch for the rear seats. Are they up or down? Even if they are down, they may be catching preventing it from dumping. ???

CP: I've been saying that since that jack wagon was picking Legos from his turds:)

Sometimes the simplest things can be the most frustrating.
Glad that it worked out easily.

Mine did the same and I found the clip for the rear seats net was facing toward the back and catching the bed on the way up.
My P1-5 won't lift on it's own without a lot of help. The safety release is working, I believe the assist strut is blown so there's no assist?
