P500 Bigtee’s P520 Build

Figured I would go ahead an start a build thread since I had a good days start on it today. Here’s the way I purchased it, Honda hard roof and knerf bars installed by dealer.

Today I put the new tires and wheels on it. I also installed the UTV801 windshield, key-on power wire and the Honda power harness. Tried the seatbelt defeat but that didn’t go well. Was going to put the side mirrors on but it was getting late.

Tusk Terribites 27X9x12 front and 27X11X12 rear on ITP steel wheels, 12X7 with 4-3 offset. I installed 1.5” spacers on the rear.

Got a few things done today.

Rear lights mounted
Fender lights mounted
Mirrors installed
Strongmade bumper installed

Need to decide where my aux battery is going and start working on electrical

Coming along very nicely. One thing you might consider is a solution for front mudguards that you like because you are going to get hosed by those tires on anything wet.

Not to rain on your parade but the blue ones are not fast, if you want fast you need red.

Got my auxiliary battery installed today. Had to make a holder for it. It has 1” dense foam in the bottom, UMHW sheet (I think it is 1/16”) on the back and side between the battery and the metal. I also put foam on the strap across the battery. It’s a snug fit but I will still put a strap around it.

I’m hoping this will leave me room for power steering later on, I kept over toward the passenger side as far as I could.
