Where do yall get your brakes from, mine has only 400 miles and my pads are completely gone. Metal on metal.

The left shift paddle is your brake pads friend. I got 2900 miles out of my original set. Somewhere around a 1000 miles out of my race driven set. Around 700-800 miles out of my $30-$40 set of pads off my Amazon set. Im going back to OEM brake pads from now on.

My 2018 pads lasted nearly 1500 miles but I went with some el cheapo pads from Amazon or Ebay this time. Only a couple hundred miles so far, but no problems yet.

I figured out what my noise was plus the reason my rear wheels were slanted In so much. Rear Wheel bearings and brake pads were gone.

I figured out what my noise was plus the reason my rear wheels were slanted In so much. Rear Wheel bearings and brake pads were gone. View attachment 206615
You think the bearings would've lasted longer with the grease zerks mod? I was thinking of doing that soon. I never ask how many miles on your rig but it sounds like you got a good stretch out of them bearings n pads

From what I have heard go factory,you must ride alot of mud I have 6200 miles 1/4 left
Yep, my subdivision has 60 acres of land that is in the flood plan so they can't build on it.... Its lots of muddy fun... We are on the river so we have our own beach lots sand also.

My neighbors 2019 500, only has 300 miles, we're going to replace our Brakes at the same time

So... I'm hearing lots of factory oem suggestions? I'm my opinion they just didn't last long, think anyway I could get them to honda to warranty them out? I think the first brake inspection is supposed to be 1500 miles.

I think your pads and caliper were prolly holding the wheel on. Trying to keep 5 of these things running, my experience is that with aftermarket pads (EBC), you get half or a little less then half of actual braking material then that of the oem. I was changing pads every 2 months on a few of the rigs. So back to oem it was.

Strangely enough, my factory installed front pads were toast after 1200 miles, no mud or water, ever. Reluctantly replaced with Honda OEM pads. Over 10,000 on machine (about 8,000 on replacement pads) and still no squeaks. Maybe Honda uses crap pads on factory units to save costs? Dunno, but my genuine Honda replacement pads are serving me quite well.

My rears were squealing like a pig at 1100 miles and they saw a good bit of mud but not a lot of sand. OEM fronts still had about 1/4 life left but I replaced them with Race Driven anyway and threw them in my parts box for spares. Mine were shot and I didn't feel like waiting on OEM so I tried Race Driven for this go around.

I would say terrain is a big contributor right up there with the weight of your machine and how you run it. I wasnt to shocked to get less than 1k miles out of mine. I had the same issues with my rancher. I know people with thousands of miles on there stock pads. I was replacing mine about every 1k miles. I run the $hit out of my stuff and spend a good deal of my riding miles in mountainous areas where mud is common. The rest is high speed road use around the house. For what it's worth I've had great luck with the aftermarket pads. They only last half as long but the price difference makes it worth changing them more often to me. I just keep a spare set on hand.

Wow that's pathetic getting 1500 to 2000 miles out of a set of brake pads. My rig is new but I gotta keep that in mind.

I only have 3 hundred on mine when mine started squeaking.. Same with my Neighbors

I got 1,850 miles out of mine. I went to my local dealer because I didn't want to wait. But like @TripleB said, the left paddle shifter is your brake pedal;)
