Would I be better Building a a shed or buy a shed approximate approximately 7 foot wide

Or does anyone make a reasonable priced shed ?

I would work with what I already have and build up something. Shouldn't take much to get it out of the weather and is sounds like you have most all of the materials needed for a quick shelter.

Pretty sure you could build it cheaper than buying and have a more rigid structure. Whether building or buying I'd suggest putting down some pea stone or something at minimum for the floor. Dirt floor thing always turns into a mess. If building it yourself I'd also recommend going a little bigger in case you needed to wrench on it or something.

The old Delima "Build or Buy" ?
Time & or Finances are the determining factors.

Witch of do you have the --" Most" -- is going 2 determin the direction you will most likley choose.
Either way Building Materials Costs are High at this time.

FYI: BUILD BIGGER than you think you need or you will wish you did.

Carolina Car Ports ( Steel Building ) does a nice job.
Pre order , Per Cut , you choose Color.
With posts : ( same as pole barn 3 to 4 ft. Deep & Cemented ) The Certified Structure Withstands Tornado Winds ( Don't Ask how I know )
Before delivery date :
You Need to have the poles with -- level lagged in place 4x4 on top ( Same measurement as building base )
They Deliver assemble & in 1 day.

Floor is 6 /12 inches gravel then 2/4 inches sand with percast cement : 2ft. x 2ft. X 2in thick paver/ patio blocks with sand broomed in the joints.

Not really an answer to your question but rather a suggestion. I decided to get a cargo or enclosed trailer to both transport my Honda(s) and to store the P1000 w/plow. For the P1000 I wanted a 8 1/2 x 16 x 7. They are scares and the dealers want big bucks for them. I had to drive to Texas to get what I wanted. On the other hand, there are a metric buttload of 7x14 and 7x16 out there at more reasonable price. Consider the possibilities.

I know you are not in my area but there is a website called mysheds.com. Amish built sheds that are custom and fair priced.

Otherwise I think Coscto had some shed kits on sale, and I am sure they would ship to you.

I built a 7x9 shed and you can see not much room to maneuver on sides and I couldn't get door closed. Added another four feet to length. Had to have 8ft walls to make an overhead door work. IMG 1661IMG 1662

Your 4" x 4" x 10' posts are not going to be very useful if your idea is to build a simple pole barn. Your finished shed will have to be 8' tall to be practical. You'll need posts long enough to bury at least 4' in the ground to have any strength and stability. That would leave only about 6' above ground.

You may be a carpenter/handyman and know what you want but if not, my advice is spend a little time online searching for simple shed plans to get some ideas.

Sounds like enough to build a “lean to” off an existing garage or shed, is that what you’re referring to?

The frost line in Arkansas is 14”. 2’ is plenty for that and sufficient structurally for a small Pioneer shed…

Yeah, if it's only 14" I agree. I guess you're in the same soil and weather.

I would pour a bag of Sacrete around the base of each post to hold it secure. Arkansas is in tornado alley and high winds are possible.
