We have two Hobarts and they are great, I weld 1/4” steel with no problems. Never tried 3/8 but I don’t doubt it could do it.
Check out the Hobart 210 mvp for the money... miller owns them. I’ve had mine for a while now and have it setup to run aluminum or steel. Just added a plasma cutter and I’m really happy with my setup.thanks I’m also in the market

Ok..So I'm in the market for a new MIG welder. Got a few projects I wanna tackle and a few some other people want done. I've narrowed the field down to two and just wanted some input. I know we have some welders and fabricators here. So any thoughts or suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
Here's the two looking at: I like that they both are dual use for 110v and 220v

Yes.. and I’m curious if those plastics parts can be swapped out to the aluminum if I ever have a problem one day. But in reality, I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. There are a lot of guys on the welding forums that have been welding with them a whole lot more than I am!thanks ! If it’ll save me a few hundred,, I’m all in!! Looks like they are $500 cheaper than the Miller 211
So I had the Lotus in my cart for a long time and emailed George at Home and they suggested the prime weld cut60 for the money. I haven’t had it long, but so far I’m tickled with it. It’s has auto arc, an Italian torch, And is CNC capable.Plasma cutter is on my short list for the shop.
