I seen that on FB as well, if you look at the good photos carefully it wasn't poor welding it actually pulled metal out of the main frame along the welding. Also this is happening on both sides of his machine. Tells me he is hammering that front end bottoming out shocks. When they bottom out enough times something else has to give. Poster claims he don't ride it that hard. I can tell you I have hit mine very hard several times and a few I thought would have incurred damage but didn't. I have bent one tie rod hitting and iced over hole in January but that was it.

If a person want to push this machine it weighs 1300+ lbs loaded thats a lot of inertia to absorb. One should probably invest in better front shocks at a minimum or ride within the suspensions capability. If they don't want damages to repair.

@jak9922 see above, you push your machine harder than me. You see any issues like this?

I had that happen to my P700 and I fixed two other P700's. So that's three total 700's I've seen personally like that.

I will say that me and the other two gentlemen were fairly rough on those P700's.

Good news is that the P1000 looks to be built better

It's too bad there aren't more shock choices out there because that would fix this problem. The poor shocks just don't cushion enough here. I bet that hasn't happened to any 700 with fox all its life.

Yeah it is a shame, I was hoping Honda would give it another 1.5 travel on this revision to match the Rubicon 500 ATV. Both have very similar geometry. This can be a really fun machine just have to be mindful of its limitations

I was sure hoping the 500 would come with something a little bit better myself but I think Honda looks at it like a safety issue because it's going to have to be hired to get more travel and I don't see that happening

Yeah the whole center of gravity thing with the P500 vs. ATV has them by the nads. Would have to lower seating by 3" or so then you are talking about major rethink on layout without making it too long to fit in a pickup bed.

I'd rather the 500 still then the 570 with the better suspension the 500 is twice the rig! But like you said it's not that the weldsare crap.
