Ive read countless posts and researched on line, but need a definitive answer here based on real world experience.

Stock P500 uses 5+2 offset correct? Going to a 4+3 would widen the stance right? Is there any pro/cons on these 2 offsets?

Ive picked the tires, they will be 27"'s, now I need to make a decision on the rims.

All help is appreciated!

Stock wheels aren't 5+2, that's the offset that most go to with aftermarket wheels on the P5. The idea is to make it stable without pushing too far past the 50". I ran that set up with 26.5" actual's, 9's in front and 11's in back and it was stable. You'll be around 52"- 53" depending on psi. You can go with 4+3's and push it out to 54"- 55" but it may not be necessary, can always add four spacers for $100 to make it wider.

So the 5+2 would bring the tires in more then, right?

Yes, when i went 5+2 and 26" tires i added 1.5" spacers on the rear, below is factory.

Front 12x6 with a 4.5+1.5 offset.
Rear is 12x7.5 with a 6+1.5 offset.

If you look at @KYhillbilly 's post, the stockers aren't 7" wide wheels. They are 6" on front and 7.5" on rear. First number on the offset is how far it sticks in and second number is out. The stockers have 1.5" out so 5+2's will push you out another 1" total.

Just to clarify, stock rims are 6" wide front and 7.5"wide rear? You sure?

As @KYhillbilly said , these are the stock wheel offsets. A 5+2 offset will gain you 1.00" overall width and a 4+3 offset wheel will gain you 3.00" of overall width!!!!

All I know is I put 26”tires on 5+2 wheels and it made a big difference in how it rides, and gained some ground clearance.also seems to steer and turn bette.

I have the same brand and model of tires except I have 26x9R-12 tires with 5+2 wheels on all 4 corners.
The front stance is 51.75". The rear is slightly less at 51.0"
If I had put 10" tires on the rear I would expect that I would gain 1/2 inch width on each side of each tire therefore making my rear stance 52.0" which is virtually identical to the front.

In theory, the 4+3 wheels would increase the stance by 1 " on each side for a total of 54" on the rear

If a narrow stance is important go with the 5+2 all around.
Remember, you can always add spacer(s). You cannot take that extra away.

FYI The original wheels and tires had stances of
48.0" Front, 50" Rear.

Wow, what a rigamarole LOL

I FINALLY decided on 5+2 offset as I want to keep the narrow 50" width. But to do that I had to go to 14" rims, which I did. Then I went 27x9-14 front and 27x11-14 rear...

Where are you finding 4 spacers for $100?
