Not to liss on anyones parade and ignore this if its been discussed before. But Honda has fixed alot of this problem with the 17 models. There is a little plastic shield mounted to the frame thay deflects heat away from the shifter hole area.

It's been discussed in other threads.
Not sure if the Honda fix eliminates the hot air but this is still a great fix for us with earlier models without the deflector.

Be nice if they did a recall and fixed the earlier models for there loyal customers, or they may not have them for long......

It's only $12 for the part. I have a 17 with this part installed and it works outstanding. I have zero heat through the dash.

It was $12 well spent. I don't think Honda owes us the part but it would have been nice if they explained that they made the change.
