P1000 Delton's painfully slow build

I have somehow picked up yet another itch I'm gonna have to scratch. Making a flat bed. Both for performance and for looks. When I get an itch like that there is only one outcome. Scratching.

Thanks man. I changed up the design. Both ends are now capped so they don't collect water or mud. I'll probably bring a few sets to Takeover.

I got the same thing as you dingbat. Ya don't hear me crying. Itll take several years to fill up. Front of slider is wrapped around frame tube.

Still looking at just one bracket underneath tube. Make it 1/4" for strength. That way all you see is tube. Thanks for the feedback Mike. Always appreciated.

Oh I get my sleep trust me. Us old folks gotta have it. I will say that since I started selling stuff I get up 4 or 5 times a night. My brain can't calm down enough I guess. New ideas keep popping up lol

This is what I'm going with. Strength shouldn't be a problem at all. Paint those brackets flat black and they will all but disappeared against a painted tube. I'm including simple instructions for installation. Wonder how long it'll be before someone screws it up and blames ole Dimitri?? I'm taking bets.

I've been thinking about that too. The 5 seat bed is heavy. I've messed around in photoshop several times with it.

So share with the poor folks why don't ya? Lol. I was wondering when you'd chime in. A fellow dragracer for sure. People tend to forget the latter in the power:weight ratio formula. I'd love to see those photoshoots.

Final mock-up. This is what people are gonna get from me. Until someone proves a weakness out on the trails, it isn't changing. I can also add a notched piece of tubing in the middle, but not for that price. I think I've already exceeded my labor/material cost vs profit ratio.
