P1000 Fouled's 2023 1000-5 Build

So, I bought my 2023 1000-5 in November of 2023. This is the original bike:

Since then, I've done a bunch of small things to it. Here's what I remember doing so far.

As I have quickly discovered, the initial purchase of the Pioneer might end up being cheaper than everything I add to it. The majority of these accessories are from what I've seen of each of your various builds so far. That being said, I'm not done and do have a wish list. Feel free to help me add to it...

The color is Sandstone Beige. You're right, it definitely helps hide the scratches.

Did a bit of reorganization of the electronics. Gonna see how the mounts hold up on a couple of rides. Hard to tell from this angle, but the tablet isn't in the driver's line of sight.

Moved the tablet mount up top above the driver.

Added a phone mount where the old tablet and added a USB power port to the old tablet location.

I'll get some pics of the mounts this evening, but here's some with it loaded down. I ended up taking the packout cooler out to keep visibility out the back. The straps are there just to hold them steady, the mounts will hold them without strapping.

Here's a pic of it loaded down for our trip to Wolf Pen Gap. I discovered you can pin the tailgate up against the spare tire and it makes a nice bed extender. Rode like this for the whole trip with no issues.

After my ride the other day, I realized the single rear view mirror in the cab, was not sufficient, so I added Seizmik Photon Mirrors to the rig. They seem pretty heavy duty. Install was simple. We’ll see how they hold up.

Spent a little bit of coin over the last couple of days.

Got both the front and rear Atlas Pro offset arms from SuperATV, shoutout to @SuperATV for some very helpful advice with these.

Ordered the Fox Shocks from Ron Ayers (awesome forum discount).

And today I ordered a set of 30x10x14 Maxxis Carnivores to put on the machine. I will use 4 factory front rims at this time with rear spacers I got from RB3 offroad. I decided on the carnivores mainly due to the light weight compared to all of the other 30" tires. We'll see how they hold up. Was torn between them or the Gladiator xComp Gladiator, but the weight of them held me back.

I'll add some pics once all the stuff comes in and before and after pics. Just an FYI, I'm officially broke now. No more upgrades for a while. LOL.

Okay, here are some pics of the stuff I ordered.

Fox Shocks and Atlas Pro Rear A-Arms

In my installation of the rear A-Arm, I discovered that you can replace each arm without having to remove the axel nut and removing the hub. Here are some pics of the install.

As you can tell from these pictures, I did loosen the axle nut (which was waaaaaay overtightened from the dealer), but didn't need to remove it or the hub and axle for install. Overall, the rear install was pretty straight forward. I still need to add a little bit of preloading of the Fox shocks, then I will adjust camber.

Once I got the above installed, the fun began with the front arms. Unfortunately, I don't have too many pics of the front install due to it being dark. The overall install concept isn't that bad. Ball joint separator is a must. I was shocked at how much it took to remove the joints.

On the first side I did, I left everything on the bike, separated the joints and removed the hub, then the arms. After cussing the person who designed the access to the nuts for the ball joints and the cotter pins from hell, I made a few changes on how I did the other side. On the other side, instead of fighting the ball joints, nuts, and cotter pins while laying on the ground, I decided on a new approach. I unbolted the brake caliper and the axle nut, then I proceeded to unbolt both the upper and lower a-arms. This allowed me to remove the hub and both a-arms at the same time. At this point, I was able to put the assembly on my workbench and easily get at all the nuts, cotter pins, etc that needed to be changed.

Since this process worked for disassembly, I proceeded to put the new arms back together this way as well. Worked like a champ. The only thing is that it's a bit difficult to handle by yourself when getting it back on the bike. Otherwise, it is much easier than the traditional disassembly method.
