Driving with snow plow

I have a 2021 Honda pioneer 1000-5. I drove it 5 miles with the snow plow on. I was running about 45mph and the temp guage hit 3 bars which I have never seen it past 2 before. I am assuming the plow was blocking the air flow. No dash lights or warning light came on. Should I be ok or should I be worried that it overheated?

That's not hot yet.
There is a warning light on the dash to get your attention if it is truly getting too hot.

Just watch the temp when roading the plow.

I wouldn’t worry about it.

check the radiator level and motor on IMO.

I just would be careful plowing in high
I have a 2021 Honda 1000-5 also and I plowed for at least 3 hours and never went above two notches on heat gage but I only plowed in low
But as long as you hear your fan come on it’s probably fine

I havnt been able to push snow yet..I should be Plowing next week. We just got ice this time so I was only spreading salt. Which anything below 20ish I keep in low. I spread salt in low for 6 hours in town today with the plow on and no issues. It only happened when I got on the main road in high and drove faster.

i run around with my tracks on 6 months out of the year and see 3 bars regularly when i'm running hard at max rpm's.no issues so far.

Does the plow bock air flow to the radiator?😒 HA! Think the extra weight might have something to do with it?

1 last thing. Will this handle pushing the snow if we get 12+/- inches of snow? I plan on throwing my factory tires back on that are more aggressive then my road tires.

I may or may not have had 700 pounds of salt in the bed as well...🤫 and the plow.... plus my fat a$$...

what size blade? i have a 72" and have to watch my speed when i'm pushing into a big pile.i do a hard stop if i don't raise the blade as i'm pushing into the pile,but i plow with my tracks on so traction is a non issue. so, slow and steady.also i have to be careful and not hit anything at an angle when i have it set straight.12 inches in a straight push is no sweat.

Then I would say you were correct the plow it’s self might have been blocking air flow
But it’s a Honda they will run forever

You’ll run out of traction long before power.

if I know that I’m in for a big dump of snow, I’ll run the plow about 1/2 way thru the storm just so I don’t have to manage that much at once.
