P1000 Extra ground wire

Does anyone know what this extra ground wire is for? It comes from the main wire harness. Appears to be a ground but it’s not hooked up. Anyone else have this?

It’s on a 2017 1000-5 LE

Yep. That's what it is. A factory sourced ground. Mainly used for the winch instead of hooking to the battery ground.
It's a effort to not choak down the elec system when winching.

I don't think this ground will reach the cavity for the 2nd battery.

Of course the 2016 wouldn't have it, cause that's the year I have, it would have made it WAAYYYYY to easy for me. Thanks for the info though.
