I have developed a bit psycosis about roofs. I want a a flat roof that weighs nothing.....so to speak. I am currently running a soft top but hate the straps and amish puffy spring bows. (No offence to Amish)Custom UTV Tops | Triple C Welding

It's the only pic I have at the moment. Bought some sheet diamond plate 4'x8', you need two pieces because of the size of the roof. Made a template out of poster board and cut to fit. Fasteners are stainless inserts that get inserted into the cage then hex head screws go on top. A rubber washer on each side of the diamond plate and your good to go. Where the two pieces come together I used 2 U shaped straps that secure both pieces to the middle cage bar.Could you post some more pics of that please? And possibly a quick description of how you did it?
Yes.. This is exactly what I want to do. I have 2 sheets ready just need to get it done.Flat and light was exactly what I was looking for as well, turned out nice for less than half of the Honda roof.

And those can be found at any Grainger store just a FYII purchased mine from S&S Fab. They use these types of clamps to secure the roof. If you are going to make your own, I would highly recommend these clamps as the rubber keeps the roof from rubbing on the roll cage and is a a great damper.
