Hey guys, I was wandering if anyone has tried to put their P5 in the bed of a crew max Toyota Tundra. It is the full 4 door model with short bed. I don’t have ramps to try and don’t want to buy them if it won’t fit. It is very very and I mean very close as I can tell with a tape measure. I do have power back glass I can roll down to squeeze it in and I know it would be on tailgate also.

I just want to be able to take it to hunting stand. Only about a 10 mile drive and then unload it. It is a lot of work to slap the trailer on and haul it for a short hunting trip.

Anyone?

My bed is 6'4 yours is 5'6 . with the gate down I have about 5" to spare . Your 10" shorter . You may have to put a heavy peace of plywood in your bed and drive up on it . Borrow some ramps and go easy . maybe roll down that $1000.00 back glass before you try .

I've got a '17 Tundra CM, I've never tried to put the P5 in it because it wont fit....no way I'd risk it. Not worried about the P5....I don't want to damage my truck o_O

Yeah I saw those, but at a grand that seems like a lot of money for just hunting season. Love the idea though.

It’s a 2 door tundra but the P5 fits. Personally I think the trailer is best way to haul it.

The crew max has a shorter bed than that though. I just don’t think it is going to fit without an expensive extension of some sort. Just a lot of trouble to trailer it for such a short distance.

Found that at least an 8 ft trailer is really handy for so many other hauling chores and don’t worry about damage to expen$ive trucks. Thats the tradeoff for 4dr. Pickups (have same as @HUCK ). Enjoy the P500. Many used trailers out there.

I agree. I already have a 6 x 12 trailer so no worries there. It is just extra work to load the trailer haul to hunting spot, try to turn it around without enough room and then may not even get it off if I don’t kill anything. Just trying to make it slightly easier. 4 door truck is way more important than this so no big deal.

Can you point me where to buy those?

I'll sell you this one. Only used it once. I bought it to haul the travel trailer at the same time but don't haul the trailer anymore, it's parked at a campground now. Took it to a shop and had it widened a little bit too, it was like 4' outside to outside. Solid and heavy, shipping would be the killer.
