First thing is thanks for all of the replies and help setting my machine up.
I'm a few days away from pulling the trigger on a few things.I'm just a "over researcher" kind of person.
I had a fellow UTV owner say that he was blinded by sunlight at hayfields and wish he had a folding windshield.
Any experience or thoughts?

Thanks again!!

How would the windshield helped in this situation?

He said it was mud and dirt and that's when he got blinded. He wished he had the option to fold it over.
Just wanted to see if it was an issue with others.
Thanks

I have a two piece windshield on a P700 and it doesn't cause the sun to be any more blinding if it's in place or removed.

If it's covered with dirt and mud, it just makes it harder to see through and still doesn't make the sunlight more blinding.

Maybe you could tint the top several inches of the windshield to help reduce the amount of sunlight coming in.

Other thoughts on the windshield: it's great for winter time but it may add to the dust problem in the cab.

I like the looks of the full windshield. Just checking experiences.
Thanks for the help

I had the glass with wiper/washer on mine. NO glare problems or mud or dust.

Hot during the summer though.

never thought of that. In summer you can fold to top half down and get a breeze

Not sure where you are at, ncred02, but the hard coat OEM windshield has been a blessing up here in AK. It got up to 63 degrees here yesterday, so airflow/heat issues are not much of a problem. There will be an increased dust problem with a windshield. I would recommend a rear cab panel to go with. The one 70 degree + day we had, I took off my doors and went for a ride with a few kids from my classes. I was in the rear of the pack, and the dust was pretty rough.

I can say that I have almost flattened a 400ex and Yamaha 250 dirt bike already because of a full glare out across the windshield. Too big factors were that they were going way to fast for trail conditions and the sun popping thru the trees at the wrong time! when the sun hits just right the windshield might as well be cardboard! I admit I could clean it more often but that is hard to do when you do 60 to 100 miles round-trips a day!

That's what I was referring to.

@ncred02 I carry a hand squeegee with me to clean the windshield. I just need to be more vigilant and use it as I pass by water sources!

I have the factory windshield on mine, the bottom kicks out but I would much prefer a folding windshield, the past few outings it have taken it off to get some air moving in this 100 degree heat, and I have also experienced issues with glare making it hard to see through.
