I bought super atv arms, My budget for shocks is 700$. I’ll buy tires later. Thank you guys for your counsel. It’s been very helpful. I think I’m going to buy a full set of the shocks for 700$ It it’s good to be able to bounce stuff off of experienced guys. Btw, my pioneer with 28s got through Royal blue as good as any other machine I was with. Except for this. If you look close you can see my wife standing on the dash to keep her butt out of the mud. That’s on the trail to Town Rock.

That mudhole ain't doable in a Pioneer without
portals and at least 37s. KRX on 35s couldn't make it at the 2022 Takeover. Last fall at the MOM ride a Talon x4 on 35s couldn't make it either.

My bad, that's a different mudhole. The mudhole you're in, a talon x4 couldn't make it on 31s at this takeover lol.

The only thing that stops my pioneer is when it bottoms out. Otherwise it feels unstoppable. I see the draw for more lift for more clearance but there is a line between too tall and

A razor with 35s made it through the deep grooves on the right side but not down the middle. I was trying to creep around the edge on the left. Bad decision.

Thank you. I ended up just ordering 2 like the guy did in this post for the front so I could put them on when I put the arms on. I’m hoping I can maintain the same height with new shocks. I’ll send picks and review it once I get them installed. New front SuperAtv arms, new front rough country shocks, new brake pads while I have it apart. I haven’t orederd new 30 inch tires yet. My 28x10x14 tusk aramid terrabites have very little wear on them. I’m trying to sale them before I order new ones.

Sounds like a plan!

Nothing wrong with those tires ... Just use 'em up!

I’m going to document changes for my own records: measured before A-arms and shocks, clearance to tire, measured distance from axle to ground at each end, measured ground to fender in center of wheel, checked level of floor board in center.

if you measure from the ground to anything, make sure all your tires are properly inflated, and put the same tire back on each corner. Tire pressure/tire height will affect your measurements. For ride height change comparisons (before vs after), I typically measure from a point that doesn't change due to changes in tire height/pressure/size (e.g., from center of axle to fender).

I rode it enough to know the shocks are a lot better. I hit a spot I usually bottom out on. I just put 2 shocks on the front used the preload settings as they came in box. Gave me 3/4 lift. I’m going to ride it like that for a while. Put new super atv arms on front gave me 1.5 more clearance to tires. So far I like it and I’ll update as I ride it more. I’m going to see if the shocks sag a little. Very happy with the purchase. I’ve got a set of arms to put on back. Install tips from a non- mechanic, buy a ball joint separator, pay attention to how to route the brake line as I screwed it up on the first side Use a nail set to drive cotter pins out if you can’t get to them, that worked pretty good. Super atv video doesn’t show torquing stuff down, I did based off post I saw on here. I appreciate you guys sharing tips along the way. Anyone in East Central Illinois want to buy a pair of tusk 10 ply with 1/2 tread 28x10x14. I’m looking for 300$. I want to upgrade to 30s but l can’t justify if I don’t sale these.

I adjusted rear factory shocks to level out machine. Worked good. Just need to ride it more to give good report. Level matches pretty close to what I had prechanges

Make sure tire pressures are the same and tire height is the same before you assume level. ;)
