I work as a GM mechanic and I am hoping they will fit on our strut compressor. I haven't tried yet but I worry the claws are too large for these small coils.

Otherwise I do plan on using ratchet straps if needed.
Yea I tried a tool but the claws were too big. Good luck

Nice job! Looks good
Thank you! I am going to set pre load before install around what I have seen on the forums other people are running. Then I will fine tune them on the machine. I didn't want to mess with the pre load in the compressor. It was a little finicky and I didn't want my fingers around it anymore than needed.

You're probably going to quickly find that you can't preload before installing.

Once they're bolted up, do your preload while it's up in the air. They'll turn a lot easier, in fact, you can usually do it by rotating the whole spring with the preload ring by hand.

I have not installed mine yet. I have the 2nd of September off work to install mine. I will tag some members who might be helpful with the question.

Do you have a gap between the bushings when the shock mounts to the front a arm?

Yeah its quite normal from what ive found. Some have a special set up for them. Ive just bolted down arm string and go. Worked for me

Yeah, it seems to be the case with any shocks. I have added a few bushings here and there, but it's pretty hard to get them flush.

I don't think it really matters.
I'm tired of talking about shocks, If you would have ponyed up up and bought custom built shocks for the weight of your machine and accesosies and how you ride, it's a once and done deal. Fox's they have a good reputation, that's as far as I will take that. I have Elka Stage 5's, and you only need Stage 3's, filled all the info about S X S and accessories and riding style, they sent me the perfect shocks. Never looked back. one and done.
