Yeah.. I don’t know anything about boxes. Just that there is a massive price difference between them.
How'd the drawers feel? Were they sturdy and on rollers? Unless they're junk, not really much else to go wrong is there?

They're probably made at the same Chinese factory as the big boys. If the drawers glide good on rollers and you like the price, go for it.

They didn’t seem bad.. I don’t think they were ball bearings but regular rollers.
That being said, Mine's an old Craftsman 3 box stack roller with the old fashioned slides in the drawers and it's lasted over 15 years now with no problems and i know that damn hammer drawer weighs a hundred lbs!!! lol

Look at extreme tool boxes, they compare to Matco ones. I got my set (upper/lower) for around 1K a few years ago. Most the other mechs where getting loans for the lower only and mine is just as nice and paid for, plus Costco delivered it for free, all 700+lbs of it.

I have a problem with tool boxes

I had this Snap-on KRL1032 for the last 5 years. I never really liked the color but I picked it up for a good deal.

I got a bug in my ear to buy a new one and I got a great deal on the orange Epiq in June. It was cool, it was actually a great box but it was too small. It was stuffed and it drove me nuts from day one of owning it. Down sizing from a 72x30 box to a 60x30 was too hard. So I flipped it for a big profit and upgraded to yet another killer deal on a Snap-on Epiq and bought the Blue 68". I'm pretty good for a while.

Now I just wish I had a blue Pioneer.

I don't have any feedback on the frontier box

Actually the HF tool boxes are pretty nice and a good price. There was a magazine comparison to a snap on a while back and was pretty much equivalent on metal thickness, slides, wheels, etc.

Good to know... I don’t feel like I need to be in a hurry if I can find other boxes for a similar price

I like the Husky it’s a solid box, I have most of the drawers @50-75% loaded. I have a Milwaukee as well and there’s no difference in quality but there’s a 30% premium on the name and color. The slides are sturdy.

Snuffs BIG HF toolbox is really nice, easily just as solid. Much heavier and solid than I would’ve ever thought from a HF box. I’m not down on all the names of brands but I did not think it was HF, I figured he spent a good bit of money on it it was so heavily made. I’ll probably pick up a couple HF to use in my future shop.
