I stuck to regular. Only because it is new. I might switch to premium after the second oil change.

Idk.. No reason really. Just don't really feel like running it super hard until it's good and broke in. I figured high test would make it run hotter.

Regular is 87 and plenty if it isn't sitting for weeks at a time as gas begins losing octane at about 2 weeks. The higher the octane rating the more the gas resist ignition so regular or mid grade at most. Anymore you may notice a power loss or engine ping/knock.

I would definitely do non-ethanol either way. I've heard the ethanol gas is bad for any small engine.
