If you haven't done the lift kit. Last item on your list. I strongly STRONGLY suggest the Can-Am shocks in lieu of a lift kit. You will get the 2" lift you want and improve the ride 1000%.
I sure wish you guys would stop pushing the Commander Shock replacement. It is getting really old and it can't help that much. Just joking. Actually I am just saying this because you guys have everyone looking for a set of used shocks and I can't find any. If I come across some I'll pass the word along, after I get some. Enjoy the rig @Gicowboy and your nice shop.

I did the lift already, couldn't find the shocks so I'm going to do the Fox shocks sometime next year.

You won't regret it one bit. I have Fox Shocks and they ride amazing! As soon as I can get with my buddy we are going to chop the cage. Right now I can only go forward into my garage, and I rub the top the entire way! Lol

The Fox's should be even better than the Can-Am shocks.

I'd like to hear your opinion on the lowered top after a few hundred miles. My Pioneer is the tallest in our group. It hasn't stopped me from getting where I want to go but I do drag through a lot of limbs. I worry about hitting my head.

I love my top now, I even built a fiberglass box for a 8" subwoofer and put it in the roof. Plenty of room for everything I want to do. Plus I can get it in my Toy Hauler now.

I think Honda built the cage to accommodate people that are 8' tall. I'm still going back and forth on chopping the cage or building a new one, but something has to be done.

Besides @Gator, after your portals and 32"s you won't have a choice, you'll have to chop it!

So I just purchased a 2017 Pioneer 700-4 and I think the ride is amazing, so much better then any ranger or can am I have been on, but I see everyone talking about putting Fox or the Can Am shocks on. Did Honda do anything different on the 2017 from the older versions or is there something I am missing? What is these shocks making so much better, stiffer ride or more flex? Sorry if this is something simple and I am missing it. @LandPioneer

I haven't heard of any upgrade on the quality of shocks for the 2017. The only thing that I know changed is color options. On mine (2016) I upgraded to fox because of the bottoming out of the front shocks. Also the wheel travel was lacking. It also helped big time on shock bounce back when accidentally hitting holes. The new shocks made a world of difference in ride quality. I also took out the rear sway bar which helped the rear tires stay planted better. If you think it rides good now, throw some shock upgrades on there and prepare to be amazed! Lol

So, I've been lookin at the groups on Facebook and some of the aftermarket ideas for bed extenders and spare tire carriers as well as what other people have done. I really didn't want to spend $500 on one and came up with something that would allow the bed to tilt while it is attached as well as it is easily removed by taking off 5 bolts. Here is phase 1 of the project.

I know that I have been looking for a set of these a-arms for over a year now and a few of you here have been as well. I have been talking with a new shop here in North Carolina and he is looking to make at least 10 complete sets. He says that with the labor involved it is the only way it would be worth it for him to be able to keep the price down. I am gonna let him use my bike for test fit and make sure the handling is right. He said he can knock this out in as little as 2 weeks. Please let me know if you are interested in something like this as we are looking at a price between $800 and $1000 for all 8 arms. Once we get enough people we will begin to take deposits and begin production. The name of the shop is Tarheal Powersports and they can be found on Facebook. Please let me know if you are interested.
