As the snow thaws I’m looking at several acres of trees and brush I would like to clear and a good amount of yard I would like to level for my 72” mower.

My pos 10cu Home Depot trailer special isn’t getting the job done fast enough for me and I want something that I can load with smaller backhoe.

I’d like to maybe even modify the trailer for pasture spraying as well (distant goal).

I’d like to keep the expenditure no more than $1k.

I like this design as the cg looks to be lower, but I think tandems would be a benefit.

Nice but appears top heavy, and out of budget

Here’s a better priced one, but I’m worried it may not last long.

I’m curious to what everyone is using? Suggestions?

As a side note I have access to a older PTO small unused manure spreader with a good metal floor that I could repurpose by removing the beaters and keeping the drag chain for unloading.

The only issue with this is I would have to use my tractor to pull it around and would / could really tear up things.

I’ve seen this idea used for hauling wood for an outdoor furnace before.

How durable is it?

Would you be afraid to fill it with a bunch of rock or pavers?

I've moved a lot of scrap concrete chunks with it (I put a piece plywood on the bottom just to be safe). You can pretty much load it up flush with gravel, but do take it easy moving around full. I bought it due to it's light weight, making for easy storage.

I got a Bannon from northerntool.com that I use with my 1000-5. has a hitch - 1600lb capacity - 3pt rear wheels pivot - flared side panels and all 4 panels removable - use it on the farm side and through the trails and It takes a beating!

Thanks for all the ideas!

It’s nice to see constructive feedback on some of the trailers out there for purchase.

I find it weird that it has 8 tires. I’m having real hard time getting past that.

About how far is the bottom of the bed from the ground?

Some of these trailers bed bottoms are either at your ankles or what appears to be 4’ high.

It’s got 12 inch clearance- hauled rock - stumps and once a tree over 10 ft long over 2000 lbs - only down side is I blew a tire once clearing trails with a heavy load - second tire held up great but Northern Toll is the only replacement supplier. Not only have beaten the crap out of it the tires have been kind to my lawns

You should have bought one of those golf cart beds and just stuck a little trailer under it. @Kilo427 might sell you one.

I’ve got one about like this... why not just go this kind of route where you can actually do something with it?

The soils in my area can be quite soft.

I think a trailer like that would leave a several inch rut in my lawn. My other enclosed and car trailer already do this.

Kinda need something with flotation tires on it.
