I ordered the Kolpin 6.0 and dual boot holder.... but it does not seem to fit and seems to hang over the edge of the bed- which may be an issue in the woods. Does anyone have any suggestions for a gun rack or boot? I have a hard top installed, so I may be limited to a cab interior roof or bed install. Thanks for any input.

I need to figure out a way to mount a shotgun on each side, or two on one side.

Lol yeah...I'll let em bounce around with the muzzle in the floor before I spend $150 on that contraption.

I know...I have $15k in a machine, but...it is principle, here.

You may not like the result of letting the muzzle bounce on the floor. I had to re-crown a rifle once doing that in my buddy's truck while hunting. He had some gravel on the floor of his truck and it cooked the crown on my Remmy 700. Rifle Butt down or nothing.

Thanks, but I'm more concerned about transporting shotguns in dove fields.

I have seen some nice floor mounts, but they are all so damn expensive.

I don't know if it would be of interest, but the P700-2 I bought had a QuickDraw Overhead Gun Rack installed. I don't need it, and would happily sell it for any reasonable offer. It mounts quickly/easily to the roll cage, front-to-back, so it holds the two guns left-to-right.

Here's their website: QuickDraw Overhead Gun Racks | Great Day Inc.

PM me if interested. Shipping shouldn't cost much since it comes apart into short, skinny sections. It's a very nice bit of equipment that I simply don't need.

I also run one of these, so my hunting partner and I can each have 1 gun ready while deer/bear hunting early morning and late evening, then put away those and pull out the 22/shotgun for grouse/rabbit hunting during the day: Cabela's TAC System ATV/UTV Double Gun Case | Cabela's Canada

I use two of the Cabela’s cases to carry 4 guns when out for prairie dogs. They protect them well and more importantly keep the guns clean. Also quick to access.

UTV Vertical In-Cab Gun Rack - Universal | Kolpin I paid about 80 or 90 bucks for mine on Amazon IIRC
Thanks.

I have seen that, too, but in my mind, that isn't something I am envisioning that I really want.

If I drove the thing for the pure purpose of transporting guns while shooting birds or Clay's, that's all fine and dandy. But the real estate that thing eats up when I need to throw that 9th kid in there (LOL) is just unacceptable.

I would love some sort of rubberized "U" bolt that has a bolt coming off the side of the "U" and then had a rubberized strap I could then pull over the top of the "U" to squeeze the "U" shut and secure the weapon.

I'm picky.

I know it.
