Gun safety stuff done???? I think the most comprehensive gun control legislation we’ve seen in over a decade just happened this spring in Florida of all places with a Republican house, senate and governor. Seems anymore that you can’t know for sure who will push gun control. For all you Missouri gun rights voters
100Acre, was that the Cannon in Mayberry, on the Andy Griffith Show? LOLAn old friend of mine just recently sold this..

Several companies are making these now just for the scout setup... Long eye relief, etc. This is a 2.5 Leupold "scout". Works very well. Several pigs, deer and one unfortunate coyote can attest.Does anyone have any recommendations for an optic to mount on a M1a scout 18" rifle?
That’s a very cool rifle!!!!Does anyone have any recommendations for an optic to mount on a M1a scout 18" rifle?
If you don't mind spending the money get the Nightforce ATACR F1 but it will cost you much more than the gun.Does anyone have any recommendations for an optic to mount on a M1a scout 18" rifle?
Wow. What a conniving biatch. Hope her run crashes and burns. For all you Missouri gun rights voters
There's been some backlash from her but it appears she's toast as it's been shared on many national and local, especially in Texas news sources.Wow. What a conniving biatch. Hope her run crashes and burns.
I'm thinking he wants to set the gun up like a "scout" rifle and that means long eye relief similar to a handgun scope. The Nightforce eye relief is probably 3-3.5 inches and wouldn't work for that setup. If you don't mind spending the money get the Nightforce ATACR F1 but it will cost you much more than the gun.
If that is the case then I would still recommend the Nightforce but one of the compact models.I'm thinking he wants to set the gun up like a "scout" rifle and that means long eye relief similar to a handgun scope. The Nightforce eye relief is probably 3-3.5 inches and wouldn't work for that setup.
Still only 3.5 inch of eye relief. On a scout rifle the scope is mounted down the barrel for quick acquisition under low power. 9 inches and up for eye relief is normally needed for this application .If that is the case then I would still recommend the Nightforce but one of the compact models.
I have quick detach mounts on the gun I posted so I can use the iron sights should I need themI picked up two 18"ers last year and I was wanting to upgrade them. They have a forward mounted Picatinny rail system. I keep seeing Burris and Leopold. Either with a set magnification or 2--. I was thinking maybe two of the Burris 2-7x32's. At around $300+ each, thats not bad. I'm just not too sure about the quality of Burris optics. I've always heard the optic should cost 3x the value of the rifle it's being installed on and I'd love a couple of Zeiss, Swarovski, or a Schmidt and Bender or a NightForce, but those'd leave me a bit flustered. I want functional quality and durability for a reasonable price. Something else is: What about the iron sights would they be in the way on a low mounted optic, or would they line up or go under???
No pictures because this never really happened.....
