In the northwest corner of NC. Next to TN and VA. Home of the ASU mountaineers. It's where I grew up. I believe @100Acre spent some time there as well.
Played drums up at Hebron Falls a few times back in my youth.

Hey Y’all. I’m sorry I haven’t been around much lately. After I got back and was rested enough, I’ve been hard at bringing my orchards back into health or some such resemblance of living. The last month I was gone there was no precipitation and temps were often in the 90’s. My roommate failed to water anything in that whole time and a very many plants and trees suffered for it. Nonetheless, I’ve been putting in 10-12 hours per day. It’s starting to get that Gilligan's Island/Swiss Family Robinson look to it again. Water procurement is number one and I’m revamping all my rain collections and dispersement capabilities so as to not tax my well. The nearby river is at or near some of the lowest levels in a very long time and we are so desperate for a sumptuous deluge of sky water.
Besides watering it’s been pruning, fertilizing, planting, burning etc. I’m so freaking beat by the end of the day, that it’s all I can do to cook dinner. I have been burning brush all day in the fire pit so dinner each day for the past week has been made wrapped in tinfoil and tossed on the coals. Anyways, I’m looking forward to some much cooler and wetter weather here shortly. Hope y’all are being prosperous...

Rain is coming... we finally got a good shower today. It’s well been over a month and maybe closer to 2.

Same here we had .1” yesterday and that’s more than we’ve had since July.

I guess I need to take my windshield to the glass company tomorrow it’ll be below 80 soon
