Had the shackles flip on our tandem axle trailer, noticed it leaving camp. Don’t know the proper way of resetting the damn things safely without a jack but apparently it takes 30 minuets of off-road behind the pickup to get them situated.
After seeing them flipped I’m surprised that doesn’t happen more often

The easiest way to flip them back over is to get a 2x4 or a long thick stick put it under the shackle on one side and pry up with one end on the ground and about a quarter of the way up on the stick will be leveraged against the shackle push up on the stick and it will pop back in place . It only takes about 10 seconds to fix it.
