Does anyone have any experience with tilt bed or full flat deck trailers? I'm looking to replace my 83"x24ft trailer. Main reason being that I don't like how low the trailer is at the back in the 20+4ft dove tail configuration. I'm considering both the 24ft 14k and the 24ft 10k configuration.

Any downside to the 24ft tilt deck? Trailer weight is a bit of a concern but it's only about 500lbs difference between the 10k and 14k version and it will be towed with a f350 either way.

I have 2 different 25' EBY aluminum flat bed trailers. One is a Deck over and the other a low profile equipment trailer used for transporting my toys as well as Small excavators, track and wheeled loaders and additional equipment. I prefer using this one because it puts my side by. sides in the slip stream of my truck which keeps a lot of the debris from the road away and seems to require less fuel. I also like the lower center of gravity. Both are 16K capacity. Both have foldable upright ramps

Yeah I wouldn’t like a 4’ dove tail either.

I have a 18’ +2’ aluminum wood fixed deck and it’s a handy trailer. The pull out ramps are nice and light. Hardly ever have a problem with dragging the tail.

IMO I’ve never been a fan of full tilt trailers as I’ve never seen one that wasn’t all loosy goosy wallowed out in the front pins after a few years.

The other split tilt decks are just so darn expensive compared to other fixed deck trailers..but I sure would like to get one for my skidsteer and its tools.

I've looked at split decks and none of them have 10-12ft fixed at the front so they'd be really tough to get 2 sxs on without having to have ramps. The diamond Cs look really nice

Yeah that’s the issue with them..more than one car doesn’t usually work.

It’s a 24’ 14K full electric tilt trailer with winch plate already installed on the deck.

I would never buy another garbage wolverine trailer again. My 20ft cracked the upper rail after about 10k miles. I built a steel subframe for it and never really trusted it again with 2 UTVs on it. Their warranty and after sale service sucks.

We looked at getting 24ft wolverine several years ago. Price was way better than comparable aluminum trailers. While researching I ran into enough bad reviews to make me shy away from them. Ended up with a steel 24ft sure trac, havent had any issues with it.

Love my little Aluma Trailer. It's been a good trailer with a lot of trips to TN and back on it.

Wow, I've hauled my tractor and backhoe on my neighbors several times (approx 8K load) seen no sign of flex etc.

The lack of flex is likely the problem. They use a full tube frame for the tongue and deck. On my 7k car hauler, the tongue ended at the axle mounts so there was an abrupt change in stiffness in the whole trailer where the load transfered from the tongue to the deck.

Interesting, but good info. My neighbor has had a 26ft 14K like I posted above for about 8 years. Uses it all the time, never had an issue with it. Maybe quality control isn't the same.

Back on the trailer replacement idea torn between the 24' aluminum and the 24' steel speed loader. As of today, I like the aluminum just because I hate peeling paint.

Yeah.. I like the idea of not having rotten fenders every other year. I'm still leery of aluminum after cracking my last aluminum trailer. I'm thinking between the taller 235 tires and 7k axles this one won't be overloaded and shouldn't be as hard on tires

I'm surprised the tires are only load range E. My camper has a GVWR of 13,200 lbs and it had load range F when I bought it a few years ago. I've changed two of them out to a load range G and they seem much better. We are doing the same thing at work with our trailers to prevent blowouts and it has definitely reduced that number greatly. Anyway I highly recommend getting a load range G. Maybe they would upgrade for not much extra $
