P500 Harness (seatbelt) recommendations

Retractable is the way to go. Depends on your capability’s or how much beer you can afford for someone with capabilities.

Why would you replace them in a sxs when they expire?

It sits outside at camp all summer. The sun will weaken them over time.
$200 for new harness or up to $5,000 for an ER trip.

I think all you 500 guys need to band together again and get @Moses to build a bolt in bar like he has on the 1000.

I would be concerned about that. The shoulder straps wouldn't hold the body correctly. They would pull your torso to the side I would think.

I honestly cannot comment on the 500. I am not familiar enough with them to recommend safety items.

I could, but that's just a pain to do. Especially when wife has the garage setup as a dinner table or for guests.
Leaving it outside doesn't bother me at all.

I mounted it thru the 1x1 frame the seat sits on. I am not confident it is the "right" way though.
I bought some eyebolts and mounted them thru the frame.
Then I changed the bolt in mount on sub belt to a clip in and clipped it on the eyebolt.

I still need to find a small cotter pin for the gate to lock it closed. Next time I am in town, i'll hit the hardware store.
