Started working on the second swale. I had already installed my 2 x 300' trellises almost two years ago and I didn't have access to an excavator at the time, so I'm doing this a little backwards, as I only recently purchased one. I didn't want to dig everything up and start over. So, I'm happy that I left enough room to install these swales between plantings. I'm also thankful I was thoughtful enough to have installed all the plantings and trellises on contour.

I’m jelly of the little excavator!

But thinking ahead sure does save time, money and hassle down the road...

Glad my neighbor has a mini escavator and pays for fuel and insurance. It's good to be able to swap out borrowing stuff.

Catching up on this thread. You have been busy @100Acre . You could open up an adult play yard with those machines, hourly fees of course. Best of luck.

Its took hours to modify the PTO drive to fit my tractor. I kept having to cut it shorter to fit and finally when I did, I tried it out and it's so dang muddy, the tines are now caked and useless. I need this s*** to dry out so I can start planting more stuff. f***ing rain!

Land Pride equipment is made in Kansas,USA. My cousin owns a Kubota Store in Longview,Texas and is a dealer for them. I know it's a long way from the East coast but let me know if I can help.

Finally got to use an excavator this weekend, had a blast enlarging a pond and was impressed with the dozer blade. An amazing machine. Pumped water from creek 600 ft away with an HF 2 inch trash pump (honda clone 212cc motor).

Land Pride makes some very good equipment. My 6 ft tiller is made by them, it is very tough. I like that it is gear drive and not chain drive.

Funny you say that, and not one person in this thread has mentioned Takeuchi. Takeuchi is also very highly regarded.

Just like automobiles, there are good and not so good machines made by every brand out there. Many different models and brands use the same components as well. Kubota, Mitsubishi, Iseki engines. Sumitomo orbital motors or finals, etc. But just like the Ford/Chevy/Ram arguments, everyone has to have their favorite.
Yep, beat me to it. I do not have their trackho/Ex, but have had 2 of their skidsteers. TL140 and TL250, and did a LOT of research before getting them. Folks that have had them all pick the Takeuchi skidsteers as the toughest/strongest/most durable of them all. IIRC, their specialty is the smaller mini EX.
