We get some sand too. I’ve been trying to build the soil structure around here for a while but it’s mostly clayey soils below a foot or so. Hard stuff. Maybe I should build a Pueblo.

Since this falls under landscaping I decided to post it here. Last year up in Tennessee I found this really beautiful spalted maple swinging bench. So I bought it for my parents. My dad finally sealed it and then he built a big stand for it. Today was the first time I was able to get out in a while and do anything. So I did some landscaping and some tractor and excavator work and made a nice little area for their bench. Roommate helped me set it up.
Looking west at some NC Scenery.

There is lots of good equipment out there. Our company has one foot, so to speak, in small squipment. Bigger miniex, skidsteer, toolcat. What you are looking for is a good dealer relationship. I have a lot of peers who run a lot of big equipment. They all are dealer loyal more than brand ,loyal. A good dealer will save your bacon when things fo south (and they will with any equipment eventually). Personally we have good luck with Bobcat. Would I biy Cat or Komatsu? Yes, but I would see my Bobcat dealer first.YMMV.
