I ride a lot of trails with heavy tree branches that destroyed my fabric top. So not wanting to waste money on a plastic one that would likely suffer the same fate, I decided to make a heavy duty steel one. I think it turned out pretty good. I took it out on the pavement to see if the added weight made it feel more tippy, (sway bar removed) and it doesn’t seem to affect it much. I have less than $200 into both my windshield and roof.

Please tell me you’re joking.

At a whoppin’ 35 mph I’m not overly concerned with aerodynamics.
Only for towing. But if you do it in enclosed trailer then , no problem.

Moose makes a real nice plastic roof for about 125 or get a pc of aluminum and take it to a place with a bender and have them make you one .

I always strap it down. I’d hope everyone does. Otherwise I’ll throw my internet engineering in the mix and suggest that the angle downward toward the front would provide adequate downforce to keep it from taking flight, if in fact that could be achieved with such a design at 65-70 mph strapped down to a 14’ trailer. (And somehow blowing out the windshield to create an avenue for air flow sufficient enough to create lift under the roof.
