That's the one! Out of all the aftermarket bumpers I think the tough country is my favorite, followed by the cfab. I think I'll add some clevis mounts after looking at the tough country again.Kinda like this Tough Country?

Yep, from the first time I saw it, I knew that was the one I wanted. But I hesitated when I first saw the price. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted it. Finally found it cheaper, think about $580 shipped. It was the BEST packaged item I ever received. Total weight of [HASHTAG]#125[/HASHTAG] with bumper weight of 75-80. That is 45-50# of shipping material. That's the one! Out of all the aftermarket bumpers I think the tough country is my favorite, followed by the cfab. Truly awesome fabrication right thereBetter late than never.. I got the bumper welded up, painted, and mounted back on the pioneer to mark where the mounting holes need to be drilled. I will get some better daylight pictures tomorrow hopefully.

First off thanks to all you guys that post all the great information on here that you do. You sold me on my first sxs, a 2018 P1K5 deluxe. It just hit 100 miles so time for the modding to begin! I've been wanting a winch and decided against using the stock bumper, and I was shocked when I saw the prices of some of the nicer aftermarket bumpers.. So I decided I would make my own.. I had the 7 gauge AR400 from another project a few years ago, so far I only have $5 worth of foam board invested!
It's still a work in progress, it weights about 60 pounds right now. It's off and ready to be welded up, cleaned, and painted. I plan to top mount the winch and maybe add some kind of brush guard after I decide which winch I want. I'll post some more pictures of it once it's finished.View attachment 70903 View attachment 70904 View attachment 70905 View attachment 70906 View attachment 70907 View attachment 70908 View attachment 70909

Thanks penrod!!I've had a couple people ask me for the dimensions of my bumper so they could make one for themselves. I went back and measured all the foam board templates I had left over from the build so that I could post them up. I will say that if you want to build your own bumper, you' would better off using the foam board method than trying to turn my measurements into a bumper.View attachment 76829

What? You run into stuff? I never run into stuff! Totally over build! HA!That's the one! Out of all the aftermarket bumpers I think the tough country is my favorite, followed by the cfab. I think I'll add some clevis mounts after looking at the tough country again.
