Anyone using the automotive coolant in their Hondas vs the oem quarts?

I gotta believe it’s the same smurf juice?

gonna risk it for the biscuit as I got a leak and need it now.

All I'll say is I used it in my polaris after I rebuilt the water pump . I know the guy that bought it no problems in almost 5 years. But at the time I didn't really care I had worked on it so much I was over it.

I used that when I flushed my system out after overheating, been over a year and no issues 👍

Good to hear

no luck on the Prestone, couldn’t find it locally.

I grabbed the Wally World Asian jug, it’s blue and the P1k5 hasn’t melted down as of 30 mins ago…

tastes like blue berries 😂

I just saw this stuff yesterday when I was at Walmart in northern Michigan. I had never seen it before but wondered if anyone else had or more importantly, have they used it. It seems a bit pricey ($19) for almost a half gallon. I don't need any but wondered if/when the day comes. The picture is a bit blurry to see the fine print but that's how it shows on the website.

A lot of people used it in Rhinos, prone to running hot, as well as Water Wetter. One is added to antifreeze and one can’t be, if I am remembering correctly…been a while.
Water Wetter is an additive for water-based coolants. Engine Ice is intended to be run as a replacement.

You can add small amount of water (RO or distilled preferably) to EI in an emergency or top off, but they tell you to flush & replace later if you've added to much water.

The problem with Engine Ice (other than being overpriced) is its not supposed to be mixed with anything. I know guys that use to run it in dirtbikes all the time. Now just about everyone uses off the shelf coolant.
