While your in there you might as well do the gear mod

P500 - A faster P5, it is possible.....gearing increase

Unfortunately that is in the rear of the engine, his problem is most likely in the front.

pulled shift motor apart - magnets busted and grinding trying to spin - thought was onto something simple

bad news - only shifts up, its in 5th now and won't go down - we have it on jack stands rocking the wheels back and forth trying to downshift

not good

took a coffee break - went back at the rocking and got it to down shift to 1st

ordering up a shift motor and will see what happens

thanks for the wisdom - not sure this thing will be out of the woods with the shift motor

shift motor arrived today

I was working, my buddy swapped it out, nada

I got out for a few minutes to check, pulled shift motor off - ran to a good 12v battery, no spin……

Seems that motor is no good

went to get that machine out of my garage and put on his trailer cause I’m sick of looking at it

in 1st gear dies when trying to pull out - eventually drug it with my atv to his trailer
