Does anyone know exactly how much the Honda Talon alternator puts out? I’ve done the dual battery thing, but still want to know if the charging system will support more lights.

Does anyone know how many watts the Talon electronics need to run? Better yet, how many watts can be used for accessories and not take too much from the vehicles‘s electronics?

Sounds like you need a second battery and an isolator kit?

With a KW to amps calculator it comes out to 58 amps exactly From .7kw Power factor.

Why the need for the brake down?
I repair generators and dont have to know that much. only in load calcs

If u have a second battery, your pretty much golden. Unless you want it to look like the vegas strip then your in trouble😂. The Led‘s we use arent bad In draw. a large 3-4 row light bar then your drawing some juice. That ault can handle quite a bit but its best to leave lights and accessories on the second batt and let that primary batt have the main controls and motor operations.

Talon 1000 = .7kw = 58 amps @5000rpm
Pioneer 1000 = .6kw = 50 amps @5000rpm
Pioneer 700 = .45kw = 37 amps @5000rpm
Pioneer 500 = ??

more lights???
We don't know how many you have now.
And... are they name brand or amazon specials?
I have a Vision X 40” light bar w/ 21-10 watt Cree led’s, and the Baja Pro Talon kit that’s 40 watts per light. So, I am using 370 watts in lights plus a pair of 4’ 5150 lighted whips. I’m liking the Vision X Shocker that has the amber and white lights in 1 unit.

Duh, I didnt think they would give out that info. I will check it out. Thanks!
LOL... that was for the 500 guy...

As for your setup above.
I think that would be fine, your looking at 30 amps.

FYI, Off brand light bars tend to pull WAY less then listed watts.
Brand names tend to pull closer to the listed watts, but not exact.
Whips are relatively small draw.
I think you are find with that.
Most important, totally ensure it is all to the second battery.
